The government spokesperson is Lucie Ješátková

Lucie Ješátková became the new government spokesperson as of Wednesday 31 January 2024, coming from the same position at the Ministry of the Environment. She was appointed to the post by the government of Petr Fiala at the meeting on 17 January.

Mgr. Lucie Ješátková studied journalism and media studies at Palacký University in Olomouc. She worked as an editor at the Czech News Center publishing house, after that as deputy spokesperson and then spokesperson for the KDU-ČSL party, and in January 2023 she became spokesperson for the Ministry of the Environment.

She has replaced Václav Smolka, who will continue to be the Director of the Communications Department of the Office of the Government.
