February 18, 2009: Czech Premier To Meet His Saxon Counterpart in Prague’s Kramáøova Villa

Czech Prime Minister Mirek Topolánek will meet the visiting Premier Stanislav Tillich of the Free State of Saxony in Prague’s Kramáø Villa at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 18, 2009. In addition to other topics, their talks will discuss the course of the Czech presidency of the Council of the European Union, the Lisbon Treaty, energy security, and the current economic and financial crisis.

The two Premiers will also discuss bilateral issues - economic cooperation and cross-border projects: the main topic being construction of the transport infrastructure (primarily the international railway corridor; during his visit S. Tillich and Czech Transportation Minster Petr Bendl will sign a memorandum on the project). Another bilateral issue will be the need for abolishing the restrictions of the free movement of labour.
